Dwelling in the past is a notorious torture to the soul. The inability to separate yourself from the events of yesterday is a denial of the God that is ever new every morning. If you will look more closely, God is not in your brooding, He is already doing something new...

God is not the God of the decades past nor is He of the earlier past. He is ever doing something new. He is new everyday. In a nutshell, for every life that bows to the lord, He fashions new fragrances out of such life. Does your life bows to the Lord in totalty? If yes, be rest assured that He does not deal with you as you were or as situations were.

God is not in your past misdeeds. Once you confess in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, all your past sins are blotted out. You become a new born infant. Remember not the former things... remember not your old sins and ways of life. When you pray, acknowledge your vulnerability and ask for mercy and grace but don't recount forgiven sins to His ears. He does not remember them, neither should you.

God is not in your former pain. He is the balm of Gilead. He heals you. He is healing you. He has healed you and He had healed you. Believe in His healing power. Dwell not on your past hurt, torture thyself no more by dwelling in the pool of what you've lost. Look closely, He is doing something new.

The former things are out of form. They are having forms and images that you give unto them. They have forms because you held tenaciously to them. Release and let the new manifest. May you receive grace to believe. Amen...
